FORGE Youth

Producing Servant-Leaders

A forge is a place where metal is heated so that it can be formed into something useful. Similarly, our teenage years are filled with experiences, friendships, and obstacles that shape our futures.

FORGE at TCF is a dynamic youth program seeking to help teens develop a deep relationship with Christ leading to spiritual maturity. The Wednesday night studies at FORGE give young adults the opportunity to ask hard questions and receive answers that are rooted in God’s Word. Of course — like any good youth program — we also devour junk food, play ridiculous games, and laugh until our cheeks hurt, all in a welcoming and safe environment.

FORGE meets during the school year on Wednesday nights starting at 6:30pm until 8pm. We also schedule events throughout the summer.

GROW Program

The TCF GROW program was created to help children and teens fulfill the command given in 2 Peter 3:18 to “Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” Spiritual growth occurs through spending time with Christ, and the GROW program is designed to help young people develop spiritual disciplines that will last into adulthood. The program focuses on Bible memorization and daily personal time in God’s Word.

Children and teens who participate in the GROW program are given devotional books and Bible memory passages. Each week, adult coordinators award points to participants for memorizing verses and completing daily devotions. As a reward for their hard work and dedication throughout the year, children can exchange points for prizes such as a scholarship to a Christian summer camp or a gift card to a Christian bookstore.

Although prizes are a fun incentive, the real goal of this program is to instill invaluable habits during childhood that will lead to a robust walk with God throughout life.
