AWANA

Building a Foundation

Children in today’s world face challenges that are unique to their generation. Now more than ever, young people need a firm foundation on which to build their lives and beliefs.

TCF offers AWANA as a mid-week children’s discipleship program with a positive influence on the spiritual, relational, and cognitive development of children. At AWANA, children are taught to memorize Scripture and apply it to their lives so that they can know Jesus and serve Him.

Children are divided into three groups determined by their age. Preschoolers (three and four years old) form the Cubbies group, learning basic truths about God, His Son, and His Word. The Sparks group is composed of children in kindergarten, first, and second grades. Lessons in the Sparks class are designed to satiate children’s curiosity about the people and events of the Bible. The oldest group is T&T, or Truth & Training. In T&T, third-graders through sixth-graders discover the unending depth of God’s grace.

AWANA clubs meet at over 19,000 churches around the world, and TCF welcomes all children, regardless of church affiliation.
