John Byrum

John and his wife Denys have been part of Triad Christian Fellowship since its early days, shortly after moving to Winston-Salem in 1998. He came to faith in Christ as a child and has continued to grow through the influence of his family, the church, and years of walking with the Lord.

John graduated from Liberty University, where he studied communication. He works in sales for a national bank and also serves the community as Mayor of the Town of Midway.

At TCF, John serves as an elder, regularly teaching, discipling men, and investing in the life of the church. He and Denys have two children.

John has a heart to see people follow Christ with sincerity and conviction, often reflecting the words of Jim Elliot: “He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose.
